We are seeking a hands-on AI Engineer to work on a high-visibility Generative AI initiative focused on enterprise-scale document summarization and conversational AI. The platform will support large volumes of heterogeneous documents across multiple lines of business (LOBs). This role is ideal for a self-starter with deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex data and AI applications, often leveraging emerging and cutting-edge technologies
• Architect and deliver enterprise-scale GenAI solutions, including summarization engines and chatbot applications
• Apply sound judgment in selecting methods, tools, and evaluation criteria within broadly defined practices and policies
• Provide technical leadership by owning deliverables, assigning work, and resolving complex technical issues
• Translate business strategy and requirements into actionable technical solutions
• Ensure solutions comply with model governance and risk management standards
• Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, IT partners, and external vendors

• Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) in a related IS/IT discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Typically 10+ years of overall IT experience, including leadership on complex, enterprise initiatives
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly

• Must have hands-on experience with Model Risk Management and Model Governance
• Delivering GenAI solutions in compliance with governance guidelines
• Authoring formal model documentation
• Designing and implementing model monitoring and performance controls

2+ years of professional experience executing end-to-end Generative AI projects using:

• Large Language Models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA)
• MCP (skills-based orchestration)
• Agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph)
• LLM development frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex)
• Embedding models (e.g., all-MiniLM-L6-v2, nomic-ai)
• Evaluation frameworks (RAGAS, LangSmith, Phoenix/Arize)
• REST APIs, FastAPI, WebSockets
• Enterprise data stores (Redis, MongoDB)
• Strong Python programming expertise
• Frontend experience with Angular is a significant plus

• Distributed and big data technologies such as Slurm, Hadoop/Hive, Apache Spark, Kafka, Neo4j, and MongoDB
• Machine learning techniques, classifiers, and statistical methods
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in data science, mathematics, or a quantitative discipline

• Proven success delivering high-value enterprise projects with clear articulation of benefits, costs, and risks
• Strong collaboration, coaching, and stakeholder management skills across business and IT teams
• A passion for using modern AI technologies as a disruptive force within the Finance domain
